{within-spiration | genius wall display}

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I spent it reorganizing my house...which inspired me for this post. I've got tons of photos and images that I like to display but I want something that I can change with the seasons, so I came across this very handy company: Wexel Art Displays. The more I thought about it, I could see using this in restaurants, schools, homes, etc. Tons of locations that I know would benefit from a system like this.

It uses a single panel of acrylic and magnets! Genius! You can find out how they work by clicking here and by watching the video below:

Have a great week!

New Kitchens by William Hefner & Christopher Peacock

blog 2

I just love the pure beauty and artistic simplicity of William Hefner’s kitchen designs.
If you are not familiar with William Hefner, he is a wonderful architect from California. He designs beautiful homes, but his kitchens rank high on the inspiration scale for me.
Blog 3
Although not practical for the snowy northeast winters, I adore his use of steel windows and his streamlined aesthetic which is both sophisticated and beautiful.
He has just published a gorgeous new book California Homes.  William Hefner also has sent me a copy to giveaway to a lucky Willow Décor reader.  As always, just leave a comment. Or as you know, current subscribers and followers are automatically entered to win.  You can order a copy of California Homes HERE. Or visit his website HERE for even more inspiration.

In other exciting news, Christopher Peacock inspires us once again with his stunning new kitchens on display in his fabulous new 5000 square foot showroom in the D&D building in New York City
photo 2 (2)
The new showroom is breathtaking and Peacock has really created something special.  Every cabinet, stove hood, and drawer pull reflect his outstanding quality and flawless design.

It is glorious inspiration at every turn. Notice the beautiful curved cabinet and the butcher block integrated in to the center island.

The showroom is not limited to kitchens, he has other wonderful installations including a library, bar area, dining room and a terrace.  Though they wouldn’t disclose the cost of the new showroom, its clear that no expense has been spared!

Finally congratulations to “Yoga Girl” for winning the Magni Giveaway – please email me your shipping address.

{within works | elevator lobbies galore}

Good morning! Happy Wednesday!
Today we wanted to share with you a remodel that we are currently working on for a large office building in Tucson. We have been hired by a large corporation to remodel all 17 elevator lobbies as well as their public restrooms on each floor. Here are some of the inspiration images that we shared with our clients. We cannot wait to show you the finished results!

Our goal was to create a refined, sophisticated, and warm contemporary interior for the elevator lobbies. We are going to recreate this look by combining crisp white walls, brown laminate elevator door surrounds, new taupe/gray blue carpet and taupe/gray blue porcelain tile on the floor. It's going to be fabulous!
Stay tuned!

{to sigh for | the lightest face cream ever}

Hello it's Florencia again! I'm here to share with you my latest obsession in moisturizers! I recently was introduced to DDF Ultra Lite Oil Free Moisturizing Dew...they had me at "dew". I got mine through Birchbox, but I'm sure you can find it online as well. I've mentioned before the I live in the desert and it gets really dry here. I have a bad habit of layering on the moisturizer and then having this "cake" feel all day. Well hold on to your sombreros because this amazingness is the lightest moisturizer yet! I have acne prone skin, and I can vouch that this product will not break you out.
DDF® Ultra Lite Oil Free Moisturizing Dew
Here are my bonus points:

  • lightweight
  • "dew" like feel
  • oil-free
  • aloe vera
  • vitamins A, C, and E
  • grapeseed extract
  • fragrance-free
It's currently sold out, but you can get on a wait list for it. I guarantee it's worth it!
Happy Shopping!

{within-spiration | 4 bathroom backsplashes}

Don't you get overwhelmed with all of the options out there for backsplash design? We definitely do! So we picked 4 of our current favorite designs to share with you. From left to right, here are our current faves:
1. Penny rounds or hexagon minis
2. Chevron pattern with larger tiles
3. Straight stacked stone 2x4
4. Classic 1x1 glass with monochromatic color

One thing to notice is the use of grout. Think how different #1 and #2 would look if the grouts used were flipped.

Do you have a favorite?

{thursdays take two | house of turquoise}

Today's blog share comes from House of Turquoise. I hope you enjoy these fantastic photos as much as we did! Below you will find three posts from this fabulous blogger! Enjoy!

North Island Seychelles

I love when the internet rabbit hole sucks me and I discover something amazing like this! These incredible images were taken by John Locke and Jackie Caradonio of Lion in Oil of a super-luxe private island resort in the Seychelles called North Island. (Apparently it's where Will and Kate went on their honeymoon!) Above is Villa 11–known as Villa North Island, and at 5,000 sq ft it's the largest of the eleven handcrafted beachfront villas on the island. Absolutely amazing, right??? That deck!!! *sigh*

The above photos are enough to leave me dreaming for days, but below are even more photos of North Island Seychelles so you can get an even better picture! To see even more and to read all about this unbelievable vacation destination, head here!

R.M. Buck Builders

What is it about the Lowcountry?! I cannot get enough of the houses there! This Seabrook Island, South Carolina stunner was built by the family firm R.M. Buck Builders and photographed by Holger Obenaus. It's so light and spacious with a beautiful blend of light and dark woods, natural textures and soothing sea-inspired colors! The great room is particularly gorgeous, don't you think?? I am loving the rug in the dining room too! See more the home here, as well as more projects from R.M. Buck Builders here!

Have a great weekend! :)

Rachel Reider Interiors

It's a given that a home designed by Boston-based Rachel Reider Interiors is going to be fresh and colorful, but this Rhode Island beach house photographed by Michael Partenio and styled by Stacy Kunstel kicks it up a notch! I can't even begin to tell you guys how much I love this one! From the sea-inspired backplash to the always-fabSara chandelier, this entire oceanfront home is carefree, vibrant and fun! I love that the master suite tones things down a little though–it makes for such a relaxing space! Pick up the March issue of Coastal Living to read all about this incredible home, and visit Rachel Reider Interiors for more photos of this and other equally as amazing spaces!
