{within works | a chiropractic office gets a fresh look}

{within works}

Happy Wednesday! For today's post we wanted to introduce you to our amazing client, Discover Chiropractic. Working with Dr. Chris has been a dream. He's so full of positive energy and ready for transformation!
The project began with multiple concepts and one final inspiration theme:

We absolutely love the "cool" colors mixed with the warm woods and pop of yellow. We instantly fell in love with this pallet and wanted to make the transformation come alive. Discover Chiropractic was moving locations and their initial concept for their first space was a warm and friendly Southwest theme. It was time for a Big Change!
Speaking of palettes...or should we say Pallets. We had to find some wood for our recycled wood wall. In our research we came to find the Pallet Recyclers here in Tucson. So much to see! They make, recycle, and repair wood pallets. This family run company was a treasure of information. They gave us a tour of the entire lot and took their time explaining the process to us.

Memo to self: bring another pair of shoes

And so after picking our wood pallets...of we went to continue our design...

We ended up purchasing the wood for the pallets instead of tearing apart the existing pallets. We were down to the wire and very limited on time. The staining of the wood took about 3 hours and we chose four different stains to create our look. We purchased extra boards to create our wall base and stained it in the darkest of the colors.

The space is almost complete, and we are so very excited! The wood wall turned out fantastic! Our favorite part was the hidden door to an exam room. If you will notice in the top photo there is a small doornob on the left hand side. The bottom right photo shows it with the door open. We were thrilled with the results! I cannot wait to shoe you the final photos of the space, for now we will have to tease you with our iphone shots!
We love our job!!!

Cheers!

{to-sigh-for | no.1 eyelash extensions}

{to-sigh-for}

Happy Tuesday!

Editor's Pick for this lovely week... the winner is.. Illamasqua False Eye Lashes!
While in Las Vegas, we decided to have a little fun and play dress up with our eye lashes!

It's amazing the difference! Now, we went to the Very Extreme with our lashes, but you really don't need much to make an impact. A little can go a long way, just like in Interiors!
Erica decided to go way out there with some patterend lashes, take a look:

So we hope you have some fun with your lashes this summer! Dress them up! It's super fun and you don't need to commit to anything!

Cheers!

{within-spiration | how food inspires 3 outfits and 1 kitchen}

Another week is here, the last one of June. Wow time is flying! That means it's time for another Monday inspiration! For those of you that know us, you know how much we love FOOD! So that's what we are going to talk about today. Finding inspiration in food. Not just the flavor, but the rich colors and gorgeous textures! Take a look at one of our recent office meals:

Yummers!
So how ca we translate this into design? interiors? fashion? architecture?
Well, one way I would do it is to put on a fabulous crisp white top and a gorgeous patterned skirt:

You can snag her style at Rue by clicking here
(inspired by the photo in bottom right in the food insp.)

If you look at the photo in the top righ, we could use daring gray and navy and add a pop of color to our lips, purse, or bracelet.
For interiors, it's all about where your accent goes...

So what will inspire you this week? Inspiration is everywhere if you just look.

Cheers and Happy Monday to you!

{simply sweet | leslie stelly on peace}

Happy Friday! We've made it through the first hot month of Arizona! It's been a really super busy month so far, and I know what a lot of us need sometimes is Peace. So for today's simply sweet post, we have the lovely Leslie Stelly sharing some words and photos with us. Enjoy!

Peace
A few weeks ago I was bustling around town on my lunch-break, running errands like I often do, feeling pret-ty frustrated every time someone pulled out in front of me or I had to stop at a traffic light.  I'm not a very patient person.  I like to get things done in a hurry, but what I need is to slow down.  Anyway, I was in the home stretch heading back to the office when S-T-O-P - another light turned red.  A school bus crossing the intersection caught my eye.  This cute little boy stuck his hand out of the window and threw up a peace sign in my direction.  Instinctively I shot right back at him with a big smile and a "peace."  That kid's face went from smiling to beaming!!!  In his glow I felt the day's tension melt away and I became super thankful for that stop.

It amazes me how one simple gesture and a smile exchanged between two human beings can light up hearts.  That little boy made my day, and I was so thankful for him.

I get caught up in my own little world and my worries, but I have so much to be thankful for... and I bet you do too:)

Peace,

Leslie

{Guest Blogger - Arcadian Home}

Good Morning Designistas! For today's post, we've got a guest blogger from Arcadian Home who will share some fabulous Color Inspirations for your home!
Enjoy!
~within

Hello, everyone! It's me, Mari! I'm so happy to be here with you at Within to share a guest post from Arcadian Home blog.
It's a fabulous place to find great decorating ideas for everything from contemporary floor lamps to colorful decorative accessories for tabletops and shelves.
Speaking of color, that's what we're going to talk about today. I've brought along eight images of rooms in all sorts of styles that show off a rainbow of color, from soft to smashing.
Please enjoy!
Thanks for letting me stop by to visit.
~ Mari
Color
As seen here in this lovely corner, pale color palettes can be anything but boring. Pattern, interesting details and unexpected mirrored frames add lots of visual appeal.
Color
Still neutral, but with darker tones, this guest room looks at once beautiful and so comfortable. What an array of interesting brown hues! How clever is a single tufted headboard shared by twin beds which allows for one instead of two contemporary lamps?
Color
Here, cool minty color is added with wide bands on the drapery panels and tailored tablecloth and unexpectedly on the ceiling. It's a great look, don't you think?
Color
This interesting space is saturated with color, but still feels light and airy with white furniture and lighting. I love this moody teal and green color combo.
Color
A retro bedroom starts out neutral and quickly goes colorful. A Mid-Century modern pendant light and striped throw add splashes of smashing neon color.
Color
The powder room is a great space for going bold with over the top color. This one is enveloped in brilliant orange and gold wallpaper.
Color
This muted purple is one of my favorite colors. Here, it looks simply stunning not overpowering on walls and woodwork. Pops of white (we never get to say pops of white) look so pretty in the corner.
Color
I leave you with irresistible blue on the pool surround of this pure white beach house. This gives smashing color a new meaning. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
What do you think of these colorful designs? Leave us your comments below and stop by our blog for more home decor, lighting, and interior inspirations!

{within works | inside a models bag}

{within works}

For today's Within Works I wanted to share with you ONE day in the life of Within Studio! Now, it's definitely not a typical day, but boy it was super fun and we had to share these photos. Our client, Hush Salon & Spa, really needs a website makeover. So we teamed up with *nontextual matters and AZFoto to make this happen. Part one of the photoshoot took place a few weeks ago and here are some of the iphone snapshots we took. We are going to let Dominic at AZ Foto share the fabulous finished shots. We were there to make sure that our clients 'look' was simply perfect. We oversaw the hair and makeup and clothing for the models as well as making sure everyone was having fun!

The day was filled with models and makeup and pizza! What a blast! *nontextual matters was there to help us get the perfect shot for the new website and Dominig form AZ Foto kept everyone rolling with his energy!

We also felt the need to photograph random bags that we found. We were really curious..what's inside a models bag? What is inside a photographers bag? Lets take a peek...

And lets not forget the Rock n Roll that is Hush Salon. We had models jumping all over the place! So fabulous!

I think we also forgot to mention that we were trying out different iphone cameras while at the photoshoot...which is why our blog photos look a bit..err.. different..

Our favorite photo of the ENTIRE shoot was this one on the bottom left. We call it "models waiting"

Hope you enjoyed our little preview! Final shots coming soon!
Cheers!

{to sigh for | no. 1 hair detangler}

{to-sigh-for}

It's Tuesday! Time to share our To-Sigh-For product of the week!
Since we couldn't pick just one this week, we decided to pick a company...a trend..
Birchbox!!!!!!

WE are members and we LOVE it! Every single month we get some amazing inspiration just from new products that we've never used before!
It is just like a magazine subscription, but a million times better. So, if we had to choose ONE item from this last Birchbox, it would be the Beauty Protector:

OMG it is amazing! My hair feels so soft and it is instantly detangled right out of the shower. Two thumbs way up on this product!

{Top 3 Finds from the HD Expo 2013}

{within-spiration}

Happy Monday!
It's time to share with you our inspiration of the week! We want to go back and show you some of our photos from the HD Expo in May. I'll be honest, my team wasn't as impressed as we have been in previous years, but there were a few eye catching items that I thought were share-worthy.
We saw lots of trends while we were there. There was a "light" feeling overall. Things looked sofer, more delicate, and cleaner. The lights seemed to float everywhere we looked.
#1 - Lights!

We also noticed a lot of pattern layering and of course the Sparkles! Bling Couture for sure!

#2 Pattern Layering

Our favorite finds were Southwest Inspired. Knoll Textiles released some gorgeous new designs and 1956 by Tai Ping introduced a gorgeous hand made rug that was to die for..take a look!

#3 Southwest Inspiration

We're looking forward to see what next year brings to the HD Expo!
Cheers!
