{within works | gossip bench makeover}

Happy Wednesday! We've made it to the middle of the week! (and almost the middle of the month)
For today's "within works" post, we wanted to share with you an upholstery transformation. It's amazing what one swatch of fabric can do. Our journey began at the Jewish History Museum here in Tucson. As I was running one evening with my dog, I came across a yard sale/fundraiser just a few blocks from my office. I had to stop and check it out. Of the many pieces we purchased, this little gossip bench was super cute and fun. It was in perfect condition but the fabric was so dated. The gossip bench or telephone table dates to the 1930's. Remember when we had corded phones? When there was only ONE in the house and everyone had to share it? Well we decided that she was a keeper and with the help of Designtex we picked a colorful fabric to recover it in. Many people have painted their gossip benches, but we just didn't have the heart. We love it!

If you're curious about the fabric, it is Designtex - Kanthas in Bougainvilla
And a big upholstery THANKS goes to Belle Epoque Upholstery

You can purchase this lovely Gossip Bench Here!
