{simply sweet | leslie stelly on peace}

Happy Friday! We've made it through the first hot month of Arizona! It's been a really super busy month so far, and I know what a lot of us need sometimes is Peace. So for today's simply sweet post, we have the lovely Leslie Stelly sharing some words and photos with us. Enjoy!

A few weeks ago I was bustling around town on my lunch-break, running errands like I often do, feeling pret-ty frustrated every time someone pulled out in front of me or I had to stop at a traffic light.  I'm not a very patient person.  I like to get things done in a hurry, but what I need is to slow down.  Anyway, I was in the home stretch heading back to the office when S-T-O-P - another light turned red.  A school bus crossing the intersection caught my eye.  This cute little boy stuck his hand out of the window and threw up a peace sign in my direction.  Instinctively I shot right back at him with a big smile and a "peace."  That kid's face went from smiling to beaming!!!  In his glow I felt the day's tension melt away and I became super thankful for that stop.

It amazes me how one simple gesture and a smile exchanged between two human beings can light up hearts.  That little boy made my day, and I was so thankful for him.

I get caught up in my own little world and my worries, but I have so much to be thankful for... and I bet you do too:)
