Good Morning Designistas!

Today we wanted to show you something a little different...

while browsing through Jason Home (their Flea department)

we came across some interesting chairs...

not sure how we feel about them quite yet..

There is a time and a place for every chair... so..

We are cooling off in the desert! In the spirit of the season we thought we'd get inspired with "Outdoorsy Chic"...   1. Studio Paolo Petunia Wedge Boot from JC Penny
2. Cashmere Basketweave Gloves from Bloomingdales
3. Metallic Hooded Anorak Jacket from Calvin Klein
4. Ettika Clustered Gold Tan Leather Bracelet from Max & Chloe

[janas world]

Good Morning Designistas!
Today we have a lovely guest blog post from our very own Jana!
Within Studio asked her to fill us in on what the latest and hottest stores in her town!
Here's Jana with the Scoop!
Allee Metro Chick is a european inspired boutique in Saint Paul, MN. It's first location was at the corner of Selby and Snelling down a Parisian alley. That is where it got it's name, Allee, from. In the new location, right on Selby Ave, the mother and daughter duo, June and Kelissa, have embraced the old brick interior by adding some antique furniture and artwork. The stylish, European clothes hang as a contrast to the antique furnishings and rustic brick. In the downstairs, which is exposed in the front of the store by a cutout in the floor, there is an antique dealer who has really great furniture, kitchen, and decoration items.

Black Blue is a mens clothing, shoe, and bag store owned by Steve Kang. The store is also located on Selby Ave in Saint Paul, MN. The first thing I noticed when walking into the store was the lighting - raw light bulbs hang from the white ceiling which creates an unrefined industrial feel. Black Blue also bridges rustic and contemporary with their antique, distressed wood furniture and white crisp walls. Steve buys all his old furniture from antique dealers and auctions. His clothes, shoes and bags are mostly locally made and all great quality which makes Black Blue a local clothing store to support.
