Fun Halloween Décor
As the crisp and cool days of fall descend upon us, you know the delicious fun of Halloween can’t be far behind. Not only does everyone like to get in the Halloween spirit by dressing up in costume, but decorating your home for this favorite holiday is also a wonderful pastime. When putting up decorations, you don’t have to stick to the basic theme of Halloween and choose scary spider webs. Use a little creative thinking and transform your home into a festive wonderland with tasteful decorations.
Follow these easy tricks to avoid a nightmarish looking house:
It’s easy to walk down the store aisles and fill your basket up with items that scream orange or black. Restrain yourself and focus on some fun, yet appropriate decorations. Choose a classic theme and stay within it. Don’t go overboard and leave your home looking frightful and ghoulish.
Have a Theme in Mind:
Choose one major theme you would like to decorate your home in and tastefully have fun with it. Go with black and white décor mixing in assorted Halloween plates, cups and utensils. Add in a black cauldron that could be filled with Halloween candy or Spanish moss. Paint jack-o-lanterns black and white and place them throughout your home. Decorate white and black paper tablecloths with Halloween decals. Another option would be a fall cornucopia classic look. Place gourds in a glass bowl or vase and place Indian corn and assorted fall foliage around it for a lovely centerpiece. To bring in some extra Halloween glitz, decorate pumpkins, branches and fall leaves all gold.
Group Décor Together:
Group the decorations together by placing ceramic pumpkins in a group on the hearth. Another different way is to put together an arrangement of decorative Halloween containers and fill them with candy corn, caramel corn, licorice or pumpkin seeds. Place lit fall scented candles together or make a Halloween display by using crates and place pumpkins, a scarecrow and bales of hay together.
Fashionable Fall Outdoor Ideas:
You don’t need to decorate every inch of your lawn with garish Halloween decorations. Go for several tasteful items that will make your home look festive. Place a fall wreath on your front door or a couple hay bales, pumpkins, Indian corn and some corn stalks placed around to liven up your entryway. Lanterns are another great idea for a festive looking Halloween for the trick-or-treaters.
Having your home tastefully decorated for Halloween makes it look more festive and inviting to guests and family.
