He is a landscape designer and the principal of REALM... If you ask him what they do...he'll say
"We design it. We build it. We maintain it. If it’s outside … it’s within our Realm™
He designed his patio so that he could have everything he needed to entertain his guests within reach.
On the day of this photo shoot, he asked my husband and I to come by for drinks, dinner,
and of course to add models to the shoot. That's me in the green and white dress.
We drank mojitos and had fresh veggies from his garden.

Love this - and very glamourous you all look! Especially love the floor - looks like concrete with an interesting off-grid pattern of expansion joints? Isn't this just the perfect way to enjoy the garden - so it is usable as well as beautiful?
That is indeed concrete. And the joints gather water to re purpose it!
