Old School

Back in 2000, I was instructed to create a project with a
Geodesic Dome. This was a final project for that year in Design School.

I wanted to share this with you, because today I was reminded of it....

Here is a sketch of the interior. I was studying how there would be balconies inside on every floor...
In this sketch I was studying the bottom floor and it's lighting....

As the project progressed it got it's own look and feel... it was to house a gigantic Dot Com company called Get Fit.com

This is a detail view of the second floor....

Here is a view of the first floor.. The idea was to have a garden surround the base and visible by all floors, and all balconies...

a section of what I envisioned the building to be.... .. gardens on every other floor...

in 3D Max I created a model of the space.. notice the balcony and the glass wall of the geodesic dome...

Notice the columns at the base... the balcony..and the glass walls....

Here's where my day just turned bright...today was flipping through a catalog for Allermuir...
and I came across a photograph that just made my heart stop.
I have scanned it and placed it here.... do you see it?!!!!

see the columns? the glass? the balcony?

I have no idea where this building is... but I hope to see it one day!
